Financial Aid Planning Night - October 4th

Every year Lee and Lenox combine to offer a financial aid planning night presented by a member of one of the financial aid offices of the local colleges. This year, financial aid night will be held on Thursday, October 4th, at 5:30pm in the Duffin Theater at Lenox Memorial Middle and High School. This program is coordinated by the Massachusetts Educational Financing Authority (MEFA). Below is a description of the event from the MEFA website.

Families will learn what’s involved in the financial aid application process, which factors determine eligibility for aid, how colleges determine the amount of aid to offer, and what to anticipate in financial aid award letters. They’ll also discover the many resources that MEFA offers to help them along the way.

The presentation will also cover many details regarding the FAFSA. To apply for federal student aid, you need to complete the FAFSA (Free Application for Federal Student Aid). The FAFSA becomes available on October 1st, and should be completed as soon as possible for any student hoping to receive financial aid for college.
